About Shear warmth
ShearWarmth is owned and operated by farmers Lyn and Monique Neeson, a mother and daughter in-law duo who produce blankets from lambs grown on their farm Awarima Station in Tokirima, King Country, New Zealand.
The story began in 1987 when Lyn and Alex Neeson bought a 1300-hectare sheep and beef station at the junction of the Whanganui and Ohrua rivers.
Wool prices dropped as synthetic fibres became a cheaper alternative. We knew it was time to get the fantastic properties of wool back out to the world.
Lyn and Monique say “It has been really exciting watching wool grown on our hills from our ShearWarmth Flock being used to create these beautiful blankets and to see the pleasure they give others”.
Made completely in New Zealand, using Romney Lamb’s Wool from our own flock, wool is natures fibre. It is renewable and will completely decompose at the end of its life.
